About Loop
Introduction
Loop Mobile delivers mobile social networking services to global mobile consumers within the youth and young adult demographics.
Why mobile? Ask any young person – they just don’t use computers to interact with each other on a daily basis anymore. They use their mobiles. And that’s why Loop Mobile are delivering world-class mobile social networks to these consumers - so that they can engage and interact with each other in new ways: via video, photos, instant chat, and private media messaging, across a global network. And all while being out and about!
Loop’s flagship global mobile social network is MOKO - which is already available to mobile consumers in both the United Kingdom and Australia, and which we expect will very soon be expanded into Scandinavia and the US and Canada.
Company History and Background
Founded in 2004 by Ian Rodwell (now Loop’s Head of Product and Technology), we managed to get a bunch of highly talented people together to form an exciting new business, and already we have became a world leader in 3G mobile content development.
Although we’re a young company, we’ve got some old and wise heads upon our shoulders. Loop’s core development team has more than 10 years experience in producing multimedia and web developments in the global market, specialising in digital youth content creation. Loop has exploited that extraordinary experience by concentrating its development focus on emerging 3G mobile networks and the new generation of mobile handsets that can support high-end multimedia services.
In April 2007 Loop lodged its prospectus to raise a further $5m in capital and list on the Australian Stock Exchange.
